The CEPP Board of Directors (Board) is made up of 7 to 12 volunteer parents who are members of CEPP. Board members are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which takes place every fall, for a one-year term. Terms may be renewed twice, for a maximum of three years. Executive positions are determined among the members at the Board’s organizational meeting following the AGM.

The Board meets regularly throughout the year to discuss and make important decisions that help guide the organization into the future.

Responsibilities of All Board Members

  • Read the documentation before meetings
  • Respond to emails sent by FPFA management
  • Participate in monthly meetings
  • Share your opinion
  • Ask questions

What Will I Have to Do?

  • Represent parents and educators
  • Ensure that decisions align with CEPP’s vision, mission, and goals
  • Approve and evaluate the annual budget
  • Approve policies and procedures
  • Approve legal agreements entered into by the Board of Directors
  • Hold an executive position, such as President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer
  • Share your ideas and opinions

How Much Time Will It Take?

  • Attend the Annual General Meeting – October 16, 2023, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (virtual)
  • Attend 10 monthly meetings, 2 hours per meeting; there are no meetings during the summer (July and August)
  • Respond to emails
  • Read the documentation before attending the meeting (approximately one hour of preparation)
  • Serving as President or Treasurer requires additional time (weekly emails)
